Today was the last day of classes which means all of my final projects were due today ! I cannot believe it. I still have a couple of tests to finish before the end of this week, but other than that- this is really it ! I'm so excited to not have class anymore for the rest of my life... I can't wait to have the time to teach myself concepts that weren't offered to me through courses in college.
Charles released the trailer for Judas Iscariot on kickstarter recently and I'm so excited ! The reward for the goal of $40k is a cover of Judas by me and I'm really excited for that. I also just completed a poster for my friends internet music festival called Wormsmas ! I am having a lot of fun as of recent and am really loving how much things "pick up" during the spring/summer seasons. I feel like I say this every single season, but I really feel like this is "my season". I feel like I'm getting a lot more work done and talking to a lot of new people. I love meeting new friends and having fun.
I finished two shows recently, the first season of Hidamari Sketch and this show called School Days. Both were fire in their own separate ways. I also am loving Skrillex's new album a lot as of recent and listen to it allll the time when I'm studying.
After picking up an extra shift on Friday I felt like the reasonable thing to do was #party ! It was Marina and the Diamonds night at my fav bar in SLC, which was so much fun. Despite claiming I'm "not a big fan" to my friends, I 1000% knew every single song and sang and danced all night until 4 AM. Last night I hung out with friends again and we all tried a new drink called a banana bender... Life changing. It tasted just like a chocolate creamie popsicle !
As of today there are 25 days until I graduate, I'm SO excited ! I keep checking my countdown app because I absolutely cannot wait to delete Canvas and never look back. It's really motivating to know that there are only 25 days left to try my very best. I will definitely miss my little dorm and my all alone time, but I can't wait to have a kitchen and bathroom to myself (slash my family) again ! I've been working on crocheting a red and blue striped sweater that I'm almost done with, so I'm on track to then start a post-grad crochet project. I saw the minecraft movie yesterday and really loved a light green and dark green checkered vest one of the main characters was wearing, and I think that would be a good summer wear.
Right now I'm really into the song Swimmer by tricot and playing a game called mini motorways. I'm also watching an anime called Yumeiro Patissiere which is so cute and fun. It's about a girl who goes to pastry school and has little fairies to help her out ! It makes me really want to bake a cake. Maybe when I graduate I should bake myself a cake :P !
I cannot wait for school to end..... I really don't know what my plans are for after school though. I think my dream is to be famous and do nothing / just get to do my hobbies all day. I haven't drawn in so long and I really miss it ! Hopefully I can finish all of my work tomorrow so that I can have another 3 day weekend.
I recently got felt to craft with that I'm really excited to use ! I tried making a little smiley face keychain that isn't very good, but I'm really emotionally attached to it now so it is maybe the best thing I've ever made.
I love it so much, I can't even put it on my wallet. I'm protecting it with my life in my room. Speaking about it has inspired me so much, I can't wait to make more keychain friends !
I cannot believe It's the Thursday of my week off already :') soooo sad. I feel like all of my breaks totally fly by. I tried not to study this week because I definitely needed the break, but now I can't help but think I didn't study for my osteology test enough. So annoying ! I just keep remembering that this is my last semester ever so I must be brave and power through. Sometimes I think I need to read The Artist's Way which is probably an attest to how burnt out I am. I definitely need to work on a big creative project I can work on until I graduate to keep me sane.
This week I've focused on reading, crocheting, and playing Balatro. It definitely sounds super lazy, but this last semester is genuinely stressing me out to the point where I don't even feel guilty when I take time for myself like I usually do. I'm currently in the middle of The Autobiography of Gucci Mane. It's a super easy and entertaining read so far and is really getting me out of the reading slump I had been in for a hot second. Right now I'm obsessed with his album Trap House. I also went to a Lady Gaga Mayhem album release party March 7th which was way fun ! I also of course love Reserv's new single Physical Humor. I'm so happy I get to listen to so many fun things.

I so seriously have to start going to bed between 8-9 PM again... In order to open the coffee shop I work at I have to wake up at around 5:30ish (lowkey just to lay in bed until 6:15). The best perk of my job though definitely has to be getting a free drink on shift ! One of our specials last month was an amaretto rose latte that I'm still obsessed with to this day. This month's specials are an irish cream white mocha, a coconut matcha, and an iced mango green tea. I had so many different ideas for the specials this month, I really wanted to do a samoa cookie special because it's girl scout cookie season ! That would've been a caramel + coconut mocha. Another idea I had was a lucky charms latte, which was a brown sugar + toasted marshmallow latte. My manager brought up that chobani has a cereal flavored oat milk, and that I should definitely try it to make a cereal latte at home. The specials this month were chosen because we need to get rid of certain syrups, not necessarily because they fit the March theme. :P
Today after class I got to experience my first day interning in the DNA extraction lab ! I am SO excited to work in there. Today I got the in-depth tour of the lab + a tutorial/refresher on how to use the different lab equipment that I will be using. In the lab I intern in, we work with chimpanzee DNA to study their hunting habits. I definitely will be updating what work I've done on my science page ! I believe I have to complete a bloodborne pathogens training course in order to get a certification to work with cells, tissues, etc.
Studying is definitely taking up a lot of my time, but I honestly really love school so I'm ok with that ! I would definitely love it if there were 2 of me to do every single thing I want to do in a day. I want to do school and all of my creative endeavors every day ! I also want to play the Sims 4 for 7 hours a day. Maybe I'd need 3 of me.
Heyyyyy!! Welcome to my first blog entry yessssss!! Today I woke up after getting #WhiteGirlWasted last night and immediately did 2 assignments that were due at midnight tonight. Every week I tell myself I cannot keep putting things off until the deadline but it happens every week anyways. Oh well ! As per usual, school is sooooooo hard. Thanking god that this is my last semester ever and I don't have to do any more school EVER AGAIN after May 1st !
I got the idea to make a neocities from my bff/sister Incio. Literally 99% of everything cool I do is most likely something I ripped off from her. Literally don't know how a person can have that much cool shit to share all the time. This is such a fun format because every single day I log onto twitter and I see something so eye-roll. I am always saying I should just go back to tumblr, but this is so way cuter and less social-media-y (hopefully that makes sense) !
Last night I saw Sauvignon Mami at a bar in town and absolutely loved it. She's one of those people I just knowwww loves a glass of red wine and a cheese stick. That's what I feel like the criteria should be for a set from 9-10PM.After playing pool and drinking and dancing in an attempt to soak up the AMF and amaretto sour-I got maybe the yummiest slice of pizza ever. Everything tastes better when you're drunk though.
